Peter And The Panther

Will Peter find the legendary panther of Bodmin Moor?

Written for upper KS1 – lower KS2 readers basically aged 6-8 years.

As a child, Peter was captivated by the legend of the black panther said to roam the wild Cornish moors. Was it real, or merely an urban myth?

His obsession followed him into adulthood, and he eventually traded his childhood home for a successful career in London journalism.

Years later, worn out from the pressures of the city and the unrelenting chase for the next big story, Peter returns to Cornwall to recover and reflect. But his old fascination with the panther still lingers in his mind.

Is it just a myth, or could the elusive beast really exist?
